What Merito is
Merito is a talent network built on verification. Candidates build a profile and verify it; employers, consultants and colleges find and hire people. Merito is not an employer, a placement agency or a recruiter acting for you. It does not promise anyone a job, an interview or a hire, and it is not a party to any job offer, employment contract or fee agreed between users.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
- An account is for one person, or for the organisation you are authorised to act for. Do not share it, sell it or use someone else's. You may hold one account of each type, each with its own e-mail address.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens on your account; tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
Candidates
- Only claim what is true: no false work history, dates, job titles, qualifications or certificates, and no fake, altered or borrowed documents.
- Take assessments yourself, without help.
- Ask for colleague feedback only from people who know your work, and never write it yourself.
- Review only employers you worked for, from your own experience.
Employers, HR teams and consultants
- Add someone to your staff list only if they work or worked for you, and only with a lawful basis for sharing their details with Merito. Tell the people you add that you use Merito.
- Report only on people who worked for you, honestly and only about their work: never about their private life, health, religion, caste or anything else unrelated to the job.
- Add someone from another job site only when you are considering them for a real role, and only with an e-mail address that reaches them.
- Upload a candidate's documents for checking only if they gave them to you for your hiring decision.
- Use a candidate's contact details only to talk to them about work. Do not sell or pass them on, add them to marketing lists, or contact anyone who has asked you not to.
- Do not discriminate on gender, age, religion, caste, disability or anything else the law protects.
- Consultants are responsible for their own agreements with clients and candidates; Merito is not a party to them.
Colleges
Upload only your own students and graduates who are 18 or older, with accurate details, and tell them you have added them: Merito does not e-mail the students you upload.
What you post
- You are responsible for what you add: profiles, jobs, reviews, reports, comments and files. It must be true, lawful and yours to share.
- No abuse, threats, hate, spam, other people's personal data without a lawful basis, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
- You keep ownership of what you post, and let Merito store and show it as the product works: for example, a published profile on the public web, or a job to candidates.
- We may edit, hide or remove anything that breaks these terms or the law.
Verification, scores and talent pools
- Verification, scores, statuses, badges and admission to a talent pool come from the evidence on Merito and the rules published on How it works.
- A verified label or badge shows what was checked. It is not a guarantee of anyone's character, honesty, skills or future performance, and a score does not predict that a hire will work out.
- Automatic document checks look at how a file was made, not whether what it says is true.
- Employers make their own hiring decisions and do their own checks.
- If you think a decision about you is wrong, contact us and a member of our team will look at it.
Membership plans and credits
Merito does not collect any payment at present. Plans and prices shown in the app are not charged, and credits cannot be bought in the app. If we start charging, the price and what it includes will be shown before you pay, and these terms will be updated first. A membership plan shows a Premium badge; it never admits anyone to a talent pool or changes a score.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape or copy Merito in bulk, use bots, try to reach data you are not allowed to see, test or break Merito's security, pretend to be someone else, or send spam.
Suspension and closing
We may switch off or delete an account, or remove content, that breaks these terms or the law or puts other people at risk. You can ask us to close your account at any time; the privacy notice explains what happens to your details.
Liability
Merito is provided as it is. To the extent Indian law allows, Farbe Enterprise is not liable for hiring decisions, for what users post or do, for dealings between users, or for losses caused by Merito being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian law, including consumer law.
Changes
We may change these terms as Merito changes; the date at the top shows the latest version. Using Merito after a change means you accept it.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions: info@FarbeEnterprise.com or +91 98253 17032. See also the privacy notice and the contact page.
